[-empyre-] Thanks and Ana Maria
Hello Jim and all,
At first I would like to thank Jim's comments about my participation in
Empyre. As I have said before I try to do the best.
I am sending an email from Ana Maria Uribe to me, in it she is telling the
way she build her wonderful CD ROM.
http://www.iis.com.br/~regvampi/museu//cds/cd1.htm
The original email is in Spanish, below the English version by myself and
following it spanish version. Ana Maria had an excellent English. She wrote
me in another email to me:
"I can manage English quite well because I studied it at a convent school
run by Irish nuns. French I studied here at the Alliance and then in Paris
when I was twenty after I won a literary competition. Proust was my
specialty at that time."
I can remember very well her professionalism while translating Paris
Connection.

Regina,
I wanted to make a CD of my site so that people could see it it with
tranquillity, without having to be connected to Internet. On the other
hand, I wanted to avoid the interface of the Internet Explorer or the
Netscape. Something well simple, with the structure of the traditional
book.
This was in 2001 July. As Jim always spoke in Webartery de Director (who I
nor had heard name until that moment), I decided to experiment that
program.
I imported gifs animated and sounds, and also the archives swf, that in my
case are very simple.
The sound, I adapted the waves with Cool Edit so that they agreed with the
images.
A year later, in August of 2002, I made one second edition, the one that I
sent to you.
Changing to another subject, tell me if Paris Connection is already ready
in your site, so that I will send the link to all people.
Affections,
Ana Maria

Regina,
